Background
Emma Hancock is twenty year's old and made her debut in the Purcell Room at the age of ten. At the age of fourteen she performed Bruch's 1st violin concerto in the Queen Elizabeth Hall, London, with the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
Michael Hancock has given many performances on radio and TV. Concert tours throughout UK, France, Scandinavia and Eastern Europe have kept him busy.
The programme for the Brunei concerts includes Bach's Adagio and Fugue from Sonata No 1 in G minor for solo violin. Mozart's Adagio from Concerto No 5 in a A major, Paganini Caprice No 23 and Sonata for violin and piano by Ravel. The second half includes music by Bartok, Mendelssohn and Walton.
