Background

In 1993 John Ferguson founded American Voices to fulfil the need for quality, constructive American cultural programming in the newly independent nations of Central and Eastern Europe. Since then, the focus has expanded to include any country where a scarcity of exposure to American culture exists.

Jacquelyn Culpepper

Jacquelyn Culpepper’s lyric soprano voice has taken her across the United States, Europe and Asia.

Ira Spaulding

Ira Spaulding was born in New York and studied music, voice and choral conducting at Eastern Kentucky University.

John Ferguson

John returns to Brunei Darussalam following a much acclaimed solo jazz concert for the BMS in 2004.

Their programme for BMS entitled  America on Broadway includes Broadway and Musical Theatre Highlights and excerpts from Porgy and Bess by George Gershwin
